HYBE Responds to Reports of The Venue Change for BTS's World Tour Concerts in Chile

The news that Chile's National Sports Institute (IND) has refused to authorize the use of Estadio Nacional in Santiago for BTS's scheduled October concerts has become a major topic on social media, especially after a series of government officials publicly commented on the issue.

Sports Minister Natalia Duco said that BTS's 360-degree stage system could affect the stadium pitch as well as the schedule of upcoming sporting events. She even sparked controversy by declaring: "It's impossible to cancel soмєтнing that was never confirmed." The minister later suggested that the concerts could still take place if the stage design were modified so that it would not interfere with the stadium's operating schedule.

Chilean Interior Minister Claudio Alvarado also stated: "Alternative venues within the vicinity of the National Stadium have been offered, and the matter is currently under evaluation and discussion." The proposed options include Explanada Sur and several plaza areas located within the park surrounding Estadio Nacional. However, fans quickly pointed out that these alternatives would not be able to accommodate the number of tickets already sold, and that the infrastructure was not sufficient to host a concert on BTS's scale.

The fate of BTS's October concerts in Chile remains uncertain, leaving tens of thousands of ticket holders worried. In response to the situation, кσяєαn media quickly contacted HYBE for clarification. On July 3, HYBE told The кσяєα Herald that the company was looking into the matter and would respond at a later time. This was HYBE's first official response since the venue controversy erupted in Chile.

Meanwhile, local promoter DG Medios has not announced whether the concerts will be relocated, reformatted, or rescheduled. The company has also not taken any action regarding detailed guidance for ticket holders despite the growing wave of petitions and public appeals from fans over the past few days.

On the other hand, the ARMY Chile community has maintained its opposition to moving the concerts to a venue smaller than Estadio Nacional. According to fans, Estadio Nacional is the largest stadium in Chile, with a concert capacity of approximately 60,000–65,000 people—making it suitable for the current scale of BTS's stadium tour. If the concerts were moved to a smaller venue, not only would capacity be significantly reduced and thousands of people lose the opportunity to attend, but the scale of the production and the overall quality of the show would also inevitably be affected.

It is not only fans who have spoken out, as several Chilean politicians have also expressed their views. Congressman Alejandro Bernales, who represents the Los Lagos Region and serves on the Culture Committee, declared: "As a member of the Culture Committee, we will demand that the date of BTS's concert at the National Stadium be respected. The decision to deny this event from taking place will have a negative impact on both our economy and Chile's reputation as a host of major events."

Following HYBE's latest response, discussions surrounding the issue continue to intensify. Many people hope the company will soon provide a concrete announcement regarding the future of the three concert nights in Chile in order to reαѕѕure fans:

- We're screwed. :( I think HYBE is going to cancel everything. It's their artist's reputation... I just hope they get нιт with a lawsuit that leaves them bankrupt

- NOOO, I hope they don't take our concert dates away. D*mn ministry, I hate you. I really think there's mαѕѕive negligence here

- I'm not Chilean, but seeing all of this really makes me so angry. If there's anything we can do to help bring more attention to this situation, count us in

- I want to believe DG Medios is gathering all the documents so they can come out and reveal that the ministry demanded three times the amount of money it would actually cost to repair the grαѕѕ

- They're going to cancel our concerts. :( And I hope the Chilean government gets slapped with a mαѕѕive lawsuit

- I αѕѕume that ugly lady is doing political play of "being bad guy", then probably the president will come and say that he has intervined and he authorizes bts. So he can receive army approval. They are playing high stakes game, cuz what if Hybe says sorry?

- I'm glad HYBE is looking into it, everyone deserves a clear explanation. Wishing for good news and a positive outcome for everyone involved

- Let's hope for the best. It's awful that because of an incompetent government, we're going through this stressful period filled with uncertainty instead of simply enjoying the concerts
