Just a few hours before BTS was set to take the stage in Baltimore, heavy rain, strong winds, and a tornado warning suddenly turned the excited atmosphere at M&T Bank Stadium tense. At around 4:14 p.m. local time on the 10th, the U.S. National Weather Service (NWS) issued a tornado warning for the Baltimore area, while fans had already begun gathering at the stadium in preparation for the first night of the “ARIRANG” tour.

The severe weather not only forced fans to seek shelter but also led M&T Bank Stadium to cancel the highly anticipated VIP soundcheck. On top of that, the stadium’s opening time for fans was pushed back from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Notably, even at 6:15 p.m., fans were still unable to enter the stadium, causing some to initially worry that the main concert itself could also be affected.

Fortunately, the situation eventually took a positive turn. Surprisingly, before the concert began, the rain had completely stopped, the winds had ∂ιєd down, and the sky had begun to clear. Notably, as soon as the weather stabilized, the staff quickly began preparations to ensure that the concert could go ahead safely. The way the staff handled the situation following the heavy rain quickly drew attention from fans.

Fans who were at M&T Bank Stadium reported seeing staff thoroughly inspect every part of both the main stage and the secondary stage after the rain and thunderstorms to check for any damage or potential safety issues. In addition to checking the overall condition of the stages, the team also went over the concert equipment to make sure everything, from the sound and lighting to the visual systems used during the performances, was functioning properly.

In particular, the cleanup was carried out with great urgency. After a heavy downpour, keeping the stage floor dry and safe is especially important for a concert featuring high-intensity performances, as wet surfaces could increase the risk of slips, falls, and injuries. A cleaning crew was seen using specialized equipment to remove the water, after which a number of staff members carefully wiped down the floor by hand.

In addition, M&T Bank Stadium staff were reportedly highly professional, consistently making sure that fans received accurate and timely information at a time when many were understandably anxious. For example, when the stadium announced that the opening time had been pushed back to 6:00 p.m. but fans were still unable to enter, staff informed them that conditions were not yet favorable and asked them to patiently wait another 15 to 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, once fans were given the green light to enter the stadium, the staff managed the crowds quickly and smoothly despite the large number of people waiting. While staff at some other venues can sometimes provide unclear guidance or appear less organized when directing fans, the staff here clearly knew what they were doing and handled the situation with professionalism.

Thanks to the staff’s efforts, M&T Bank Stadium was packed with fans just before showtime, completely ready for the concert as if there had never been heavy rain or a tornado warning earlier that day.
