When it comes to art museums, RM recently surprised fans by announcing that he will hold his first solo art exhibition at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) in October 2026. The exhibition, titled “RM x SFMOMA,” will run until February 2027.

This marks a significant milestone in RM’s artistic journey, as he has shown a deep and highly serious pαѕѕion for art. It is also the first time a BTS member has had a solo collection displayed.

However, there is one thing that many may not know: before RM, there's a BTS member who had already “stepped foot” into the Louvre – making history as the first K-pop artist to have a work displayed in one of the world’s largest museums. That person is Jimin!

Upon reading this news, many may wonder how an artwork of Jimin could be placed in a museum with over 200 years of history. While the Louvre is famous for the world’s most beautiful portraits such as the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, and the Winged Victory of Samothrace, having a portrait of a K-pop artist displayed there still seems unimaginable.

But in reality, it happened! Specifically, in September 2022, кσяєαn artist Lee.K exhibited a portrait of Jimin at the Focus Art Fair Paris held at the Carrousel du Louvre, an area located within the Louvre Museum complex.

It is known that only the most outstanding artists and works have the opportunity to do so, highlighting the talent of Lee.K and confirming that Jimin truly is a masterpiece of art. At that time, ARMYs were extremely proud of both Jimin and their ARMY artist, Lee.K.

Sharing about bringing Jimin’s portrait to the Louvre, Lee.K stated in an interview with KOCIS under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism: “After listening to BTS’s music for the first time, I felt that Jimin had a special charm to himself. His face has a unique characteristic in which the eastern and the western charm and male and female beauty coexist. Every angle of his face has a different personality, and it gives off a different allure depending on the lighting and expression.”

Meanwhile, Jimin is seen as a familiar subject in many of the artist’s abstract-style works. Lee.K often focuses on depicting detailed facial lines and expressive depth in the idol’s face. These works not only reflect Jimin’s external beauty but also convey his emotions and aura, leaving a strong impression on viewers.

Jimin’s handsome appearance has never been in question, as he consistently ranks in both domestic and international charts for K-pop idol visuals. Experts from Allure magazine have repeatedly praised his radiant skin, plump lips, and striking visual. Meanwhile, Jimmy Fallon openly remarked that he surpαѕѕes even Hollywood stars in charm and style.

It is clear that Jimin is a masterpiece, and it is understandable that Lee.K regards him as his “muse” and source of artistic inspiration.
