BTS are currently on their ARIRANG world tour and have completed five nights of concerts across two major cities in South кσяєα and נαραи, drawing approximately 130,000 and 120,000 attendees respectively at each stop. With just these first five shows, the BTS ARIRANG Tour has already become the highest-grossing tour in Asia, with estimated revenue reaching $370 million.
Meanwhile, BTS have only visited 2 out of the 34 cities scheduled on their tour route through early 2027. This coming May, they are set to stop in мєχι¢σ at Estadio GNP Seguros (formerly Foro Sol), which has a capacity of around 60,000. мєχι¢σ’s president, Claudia Sheinbaum, has already expressed her excitement, stating, "It is truly a blessing that BTS will be performing in мєχι¢σ, as this is soмєтнing our youth have been requesting for a long time."
Similarly, the situation in South αмєяι¢α—particularly in вяαzιℓ—is just as enthusiastic following the country’s inclusion on the ARIRANG tour map. вяαzιℓian news radio BandNews FM described BTS’s planned concerts in São Paulo in October 2026 as “a major issue.” Citing data from local transportation platform ClickBus, the station reported that searches for bus tickets to São Paulo increased more than 600-fold after the tour announcement.

However, while fans and local authorities eagerly anticipate the arrival of the K-pop superstars, concerns regarding artist safety have begun to surface. These concerns stem from increasingly extreme and negative reactions from a segment of anti-fans targeting V.
Specifically, several major fan accounts on X reported the discovery of a group of extremist female anti-fans in мєχι¢σ allegedly planning to harm V, including claims of an acid attack targeting him on the night of the concert. These individuals have reportedly conducted multiple livestreams since January, openly discussing their plans on social media.

In addition, the group has spread misinformation aimed at damaging his reputation and recruiting others who harbor hatred toward V. Notably, one woman believed to be leading the group previously attempted to “file a complaint” against V at the кσяєαn Embαѕѕy in мєχι¢σ after infiltrating the event “Proyecto Industrias Creativas de Corea: Lecciones para América Latina,” which was attended by a HYBE мєχι¢σ official, local authorities, and embαѕѕy representatives.

The situation is not limited to мєχι¢σ, as hostility has also extended to вяαzιℓ. During some livestreams on SNS, вяαzιℓian anti-fans flooded the comment sections with insults and threats such as “вяαzιℓ will kick u out,” as well as statements suggesting they would attack him when he arrives to perform there.

Although these remain verbal threats for now, the intensity and extremity of such behavior indicate a concerning possibility that these individuals may act on their intentions. As a result, fans are deeply worried about the dangers V could face, as well as potential risks to other fans and BTS’s crew.
As soon as the news spread, ARMY began tagging official HYBE accounts in posts, urging the company to take the situation seriously and strengthen security measures for their artists. Fans also encouraged others to report the accounts allegedly behind these harmful plans. They have been collecting screenshots and evidence to submit through HYBE’s online reporting portal, protect.hybecorp.com, to flag the accounts and individuals involved.
At the same time, many fans expressed outrage at the toxic mindset of these individuals, commenting:
- This is seriously alarming. Taehyung is receiving disturbing threats ahead of BTS’ upcoming concert in вяαzιℓ and мєχι¢σ. This cannot be ignored
- HYBE, keep Taehyung away from thoses toxic fans in вяαzιℓ and мєχι¢σ. He shouldn't be risking his life for those losers
- Almost in her 70s & doing these shts! What an embarrαѕѕment of the human race!
- It’s unbelievable that we might lose tickets because of these crazy people. Hundreds of thousands have waited seven years for BTS to return, and in just a moment, that excitement is being tainted by such disturbing thoughts.
- Fcking shippers. Please be alert everyone at the concert and protect Taehyung at all cost... It's our duty too to protect him
- Now I'm scared for him. Turns out so many people are mentally ill. Report under hate, harαѕѕment and spam until suspension and fill out the HYBE form according. Take this seriously.
- These are the same people who say keep shipping away from bangtan and gang up and make fun of other shippers. Bunch of bullies and hypocrites fuvk them
- How can anyone even think about harming him? This is not ‘hate,’ this is criminal behavior
- HYBE needs to take this seriously and increase security. This is beyond disgusting
