Like the other members of BTS, Jungkook is only about 50 days away from his military discharge. He enlisted on December 12, 2023, despite being the youngest member of the group.
These days, Jungkook is enjoying the last year of his 20s (by кσяєαn reckoning). j-hope even expressed his surprise when he realized that the group's youngest member is already 30 years old.
Fans pointed out that j-hope felt exactly the same way when Jungkook debuted just like yesterday. But in reality, it has been 14 years since Jungkook started his idol dream at Big Hit Entertainment.
On April 25, 2025, X account @TheePopCore shared that today is the 14th anniversary since Big Hit Entertainment discovered the Golden Maknae with a long list of remarkable achievements over the past 14 years, celebrating this memorable anniversary.
Jungkook is considered to hold the title of the most recognized solo artist in K-pop, having won many awards. His solo release, Seven, debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. It currently stands as the higheststreamed song by any Asian artist on Spotify.
It also earned him a Billboard chart sweep, topping the Hot 100, Global 200, and Global Excl. U.S. lists at the same time, a first for an Asian solo performer.
Data from music platforms confirms Jungkook has surpαѕѕed 9 billion plays across digital services. Jungkook also became the first кσяєαn solo artist to appear on the FIFA World Cup stage.
Online, Jungkook's name generated the highest number of hashtags on top social channels, not to mention countless records that are hard to match, too many to count.
Remember, Jungkook was only 13 years old when he joined the entertainment company. He was scouted by 7 different agencies after appearing in the regional auditions for the TV show Superstar K.
But in the end, the teenage Jungkook chose Big Hit Entertainment after watching a stage performance by RM, who was a trainee there at the time and later became the leader of BTS.
