The culprit was actually j-hope, but the idol was too afraid to confess at the time. Years later, j-hope finally admitted the truth. "Well…I confess to you now…in that moment I couldn’t tell you that it was me because you were swearing so much about how mad you were. I couldn’t bring myself to confess with my own mouth that I was the one that put the gum there," he recalled.

Further supporting Jimin's reputation is testimony from V. During a fan-sign event in the past, V was asked to rank the members based on how scary they are when angry. Without hesitation, he placed Jimin at No. 1, followed by j-hope and SUGA. Interestingly, RM was voted the least intimidating member when angry.
