BTS Members Left Shocked After Objects Are Thrown at Them During Bogotá Performance, Sparking Outrage Among ARMYs

BTS recently wrapped up their second concert in Bogotá, Colombia — the first stop of the South αмєяι¢αn leg of their ‘ARIRANG Tour’. Colombia’s largest newspaper, El Tiempo, reported that both of BTS’ concerts were completely sold out, attracting more than 100,000 attendees in total, with around 53,000 people at each show. Fans who were unable to get tickets also gathered in large numbers outside the stadium to sing along to the group’s songs.

Estadio El Campín was filled with the enthusiastic cheers of ARMY. The roar was so loud that it almost drowned out the music itself. Reporters at the scene described it as a rare sight, with tens of thousands of ticketless fans outside still singing along together, watching the fireworks, and immersing themselves in the concert atmosphere.

Overall, BTS and ARMY had an energetic and joyful night together. However, one moment appeared to put a slight damper on the atmosphere in Bogotá and is now being widely discussed by ARMYs on social media.

Specifically, during the October 3 concert local time, BTS carried out their familiar parade around the pitch while performing “IDOL.” As the members approached a turn near the au∂ιєnce barricade, j-hope was seen suddenly ducking to avoid an object flying toward him from the stands. After realizing that soмєтнing had been thrown in his direction, j-hope was also seen pointing toward the stands with a displeased expression, seemingly reminding the au∂ιєnce about the gesture.

The video was quickly shared by several major fan accounts. Some fans believed that the object had been deliberately thrown toward the artist, causing j-hope to flinch and instinctively duck to avoid it. They immediately called on HYBE and BIGHIT MUSIC to strengthen security measures for the artists, while also bringing up similar incidents involving objects being thrown at BTS at previous tour stops.

However, some other fans said that this was an unfortunate α¢¢ι∂єит. They explained that a fan had been waving an Army Bomb when a decorative piece — described by some as a hat or an accessory attached to the lightstick — came loose and flew toward the stage. Fortunately, j-hope reacted quickly and ducked in time, so he was not нιт or injured.

Even so, the anger among the majority of ARMYs has not been eased. Whether the incident was intentional or α¢¢ι∂єитal, many fans believe that the main concern here is the artists’ safety. Thankfully, the unidentified object did not нιт j-hope this time, causing an injury or disrupting his performance, but who can guarantee that the same thing will not have a worse outcome next time? The fact that a fan’s actions created such a situation is essentially unacceptable — no excuse.

Fans are now engaged in heated discussions about the incident across social media:

- What is wrong with people? And the stuff came down at the artist and Bigнιт security running in the front doesn't help

- Who's throw that thing??? WTF Thank God it didn't нιт anyone

- Seems like only Hobi realized that someone try to throw soмєтнing to them. That's unacceptable behavior

- Some of yall don’t deserve concert tickets or access to the boys bc what the fυ¢к is this behaviour? What makes you think that throwing sh1t is good? istfg.

- Scaring hobi and jimin like that. In middle of their idol walk. Why would anyone want to do that.. and throw soмєтнing like that. They could have been hurt

- Even if it was just a minor inconvenience, it still scared them. Who knows if next time someone throws a rock and excuses it as α¢¢ι∂єитally dropped?

- When attending a crowded event, you need to be mindful of both your own safety and the safety of others. Causing a mess like this is completely on you. I'm really disappointed

- Similar to when people threw bras, it might not hurt anyone physically, but seeing objects being thrown down onto the stage will naturally startle the members. It's unpleasant to watch and just easily stirs up unnecessary drama like this
