In June this year, BTS celebrated their 13th debut anniversary, marking the group’s first anniversary celebration after more than three years of suspending group activities due to their mandatory military service. For a K-pop group to remain together with the same lineup as when they first debuted after more than a decade in the industry is truly a rare milestone—one that even the BTS members themselves once dreamed of or wondered if they could achieve.

V once shared, “I used to feel jealous when we went to music shows and saw senior artists who had been working together for so many years.” SUGA followed up with an example: “When we debuted, SHINHWA was probably around this point in their career.” [When BTS debuted in 2013, SHINHWA was celebrating its 15th anniversary.]

In reality, during their early years as trainees and rookies, BTS was just like any group of young male friends: they had disagreements caused by misunderstandings or differing opinions. Fans still remember famous stories such as j-hope throwing a banana at Jungkook, V and Jimin arguing over dumplings, SUGA and RM throwing pillows at each other over dorm cleaning, and Jin and V clashing because they misunderstood each other while practicing choreography.

However, at this point, it seems that arguments have disappeared from BTS’s vocabulary. As SUGA humorously put it, "I don't think our team has that much fιgнтing power now”. The members then continued the conversation by discussing how BTS has “matured” over the years, allowing them to resolve conflicts before they even have a chance to escalate.

V was the one who elaborated: “Like RM said, as individuals we’ve all grown by taking in the good things from our own lives, but what I think has changed when we are together as a group is that we’ve all grown softer. We don’t fιgнт as much as we used to. Now that we are spending our days together again, there might be a joke where before I would’ve thought, ‘This could upset Jin,’ but Jin just brushes it off. Or I’d think, ‘Huh, Jimin looks mad,’ but he’d be like, ‘I’m just hungry.’ We have grown up a lot more than expected.”

SUGA then pointed out a very simple reason: “We're all in our 30s now.” j-hope agreed, saying, “There is no point fιgнтing.” RM concluded with a short yet meaningful statement: “We have already done all that.” According to them, all the arguments that needed to happen had already happened years ago, and that very process helped them understand one another better. In addition, SUGA believed that the period of separation due to military service made the members appreciate their friendship even more.

Meanwhile, Jin described what it feels like to work together as BTS with a statement that deeply moved many fans: “Because all seven of us are doing this together, there's never a dull moment. And even if I make a mistake, there's a part of me that thinks they'll all handle it, so I feel really comfortable.” The other members completely agreed with this sentiment.

j-hope also shared that during his solo activities, he often found himself wondering, “I wonder what the others are doing.” Jungkook immediately responded, “I had moments like that. Totally! I get that!” Even this single exchange was enough to show that, at this stage of their lives, BTS truly feels like seven people with one heart—constantly thinking about one another and looking out for each other. At the same time, it reflects how much the members want to work together as a group above all else.

Finally, when j-hope asked, “What do you think of BTS's future from here?” SUGA answered without hesitation, “Bright, of course!” He even enthusiastically sang a line from ARIRANG's new song “2.0”: “10 years, man, not even close.”

These moments, especially coming at a time when all seven members of BTS have reunited and are approaching their 13th debut anniversary, made fans even more emotional. They could not help but comment:

- No misunderstandings, just understanding now. My family forever. So proud of my boys!

- This part.. they were forced apart so now that they’re back together, everything is precious. They want to be around each other more. They’re softer with one another. Having memorable moments and making lasting memories is what they want

- Despite having gone separate ways; different groups, different lives and finding themselves in that process, every single one of them decide to come right back to where they belong. Together. As a group. I’m fяєαкing ugly crying.

- If ARMY missed BTS together, they missed each other even more, because during their solo activities they thought about each other or asked what they were doing. OUR FAMILY IS TOGETHER AGAIN 

- Like, their "frequent bickering" phase is already over, plus last year with military service they were apart for quite a while too, whether you believe it or not, for example going from seeing each other almost every day to suddenly being separated for 1.5 years would definitely bring those feelings bubbling up to the surface

- They really went from arguing over dumplings to saying "there's no point fιgнтing." That's what 13 years of love and trust looks like

- Jin saying there's "never a dull moment" because all seven are together again made me emotional. BTS is happiest when BTS is complete

- The fιgнтs are behind them, the hardships are behind them, and SUGA was absolutely right—BTS's future is bright. From here on, let's walk on the path of full flowers
