From early on April 11, ARMY once again gathered around the Goyang Sports Complex to prepare for BTS’s second concert following the successful opening night on the 9th, which drew over 40,000 fans. Unlike the first day’s heavy rain, today’s clear, cloudless skies created a vibrant, festival-like atmosphere around the stadium from the very beginning.
Subway Line 3 heading from central Seoul to Goyang was packed with ARMY from all over the world. Fans showed up in signature outfits such as purple hoo∂ιєs, member-themed bags, and even BTS logos painted on their faces, creating a colorful scene filled with fandom spirit. Everyone was able to fully enjoy the pre-concert activities, from check-ins and merchandise shopping to socializing before showtime.

However, in the midst of this excitement, an unfortunate piece of news suddenly emerged!
According to кσяєαn media reports, at around 3:20 PM the same day, the Ilsan West Police Station received a report of a theft at a ticket booth located in an auxiliary stadium within the Goyang Sports Complex (Ilsanseo-gu). A man is believed to have fled the scene after taking approximately 500 wristbands used to verify concert attendees.
These wristbands play a crucial role in controlling entry to the venue. Only those who have completed identity verification are issued one, and entry is restricted if the wristband is damaged or мιѕѕιиg. As a result, the incident caused considerable concern and confusion among fans at the scene, especially since it occurred just hours before the second night of the “ARIRANG” concert was set to begin at 7:00 PM.

Authorities are currently working to track down the suspect by gathering witness statements and analyzing footage from nearby surveillance cameras. Security measures have also been tightened to prevent similar incidents from occurring.
In response to the situation, Big Hit Music released an official statement on April 11, emphasizing: “Entry is strictly prohibited for anyone holding a wristband that was not obtained through the proper procedures at the official identification booth.” The company also advised fans: “If you encounter anyone providing or selling wristbands outside of the official identification booths, please do not engage with them and report the incident to the concert organizers or the ρσℓι¢є.”
The concert organizers further reαѕѕured attendees that simply possessing stolen wristbands would not be sufficient to gain entry. In practice, the entry process involves multiple strict steps, including QR code scanning on mobile devices, ID verification, and on-site wristband checks by staff. Additionally, the wristbands are made of special materials that are difficult to reuse if damaged, and random inspections continue even after entry.

Some speculate that the incident may not be a simple theft but could be linked to black-market ticketing operations. In the past, there have been cases where scalpers attempted to gain unauthorized access by reattaching damaged wristbands or accompanying ticket buyers. As a result, the ρσℓι¢є are now coordinating closely with event organizers to prepare countermeasures, considering the possibility that the stolen wristbands could be misused for fraudulent entry.
Although the υиєχρє¢тє∂ incident has somewhat affected the overall atmosphere, with strict control measures in place and swift action from authorities, fans can still feel reαѕѕured that tonight’s concert will proceed safely and smoothly, delivering unforgettable moments for tens of thousands of ARMY in Goyang.
