Since July of this year, Jungkook and several female artists have become victims of toxic individuals who believe in so-called “evidence” suggesting they are dating. The so-called “proof” includes things like matching accessories or working out at the same gym — coincidences that dozens of other people share as well. Naturally, the rumors are false and unreasonable.

What started as baseless speculation has now turned into a constant obsession. Every single action Jungkook takes is scrutinized in detail and twisted into alleged “dating clues.” In particular, his recent series of live broadcasts has become easy fodder for anonymous users to link his gestures or remarks to one female idol or another.

Social media is now flooded with posts — at best, “shipping” Jungkook with other idols, and at worst, criticizing him for dating someone he’s not even dating. Some rude TikTok users have gone so far as to tag him in shipping or rumor-related content, or leave intrusive comments questioning his private life.

As if being falsely linked to others wasn’t bad enough, malicious people who believe these rumors have even attacked his social media accounts with hateful messages. Since Jungkook doesn’t post anything on his main Instagram, these comments have been redirected to his dog Bam’s account. Fans have spotted horrifying messages wishing ∂єαтн upon Jungkook and his family, alongside hate speech and demands to “leave this person” or “that person” alone.

In response, fans have tried to flood the comments with positive messages to drown out the hate.

However, that could only help a part — it didn’t stop the extremists. Seeing how serious the situation has become, fans now believe HYBE must take stronger legal action to protect the artist.

They have been reporting numerous malicious comments and accounts targeting Jungkook, collecting them as evidence for HYBE to present in court. Fans are also urging HYBE to issue official legal notices to warn those spreading or fabricating rumors that damage the singer’s reputation. At the same time, they are calling on the agency to be vigilant about any potential threats to Jungkook or his family’s safety.

Fortunately, Jungkook himself recently took action — he disabled comments, set his following list to private, and turned off tagging features on his TikTok account. Previously, fans could freely interact with him through these functions.

Fans believe Jungkook’s decision came after being harαѕѕed by shippers and people invading his privacy, and they fully support his choice. Many even hope he will do the same with Bam’s Instagram account to avoid further harm.
