In the era of booming social media, idols can easily become victims of misinformation, malicious rumors, or actions by individuals impersonating fans to undermine their reputation. These incidents not only affect their public image but can also have a direct impact on the private lives of the members.
Therefore, nowadays, fan support goes beyond simply buying albums or merchandise, streaming music, and attending concerts—it also includes protecting idols in the online space. ARMYs have consistently been active in closely monitoring those who intend to damage the reputation or invade the privacy of BTS members on social media.
Recently, fans discovered a serious issue involving an X (formerly Twitter) account impersonating a BTS fan, under the name @jminreport. According to ARMYs’ investigation, this account not only spreads false information but also shares posts aimed at defaming Jungkook’s reputation and inciting others to join the “hate train” against him.
Moreover, the account has shared numerous sensitive posts, dragged Jungkook’s name into them, and even revealed photos of his family’s family registration number—extremely sensitive and important information for any resident of South кσяєα.
This data includes full names, dates of birth, family relationships, and residential addresses. Sharing this information publicly without the owner’s consent is not only an invasion of privacy but also carries serious security and safety risks, as it could be exploited for malicious purposes.
'
Recognizing the account as dangerous, ARMYs immediately called on HYBE and @BIGHIT_MUSIC to take the necessary actions to protect Jungkook and his family.
In a tweet widely shared by ARMYs, the community wrote: "We urge @HYBEOFFICIALtwt and @bts_bigнιт to take immediate action against this account (@/jminreport), which is disguising itself as a ‘report’ account and spreading false information, malicious agendas against Jungkook and encouraging others to join the hate train. They are even sharing his family registration numbers, Jungkook truly needs protection @BIGHIT_MUSIC!”
As of now, HYBE has not responded. However, under the pressure from the ARMY community, many hope the company will quickly verify the matter and implement proper protective measures.
This incident also serves as a warning to fandoms about individuals who impersonate fans to cause chaos, divide the community, or damage an idol’s reputation. What is most crucial at this moment is for ARMYs to remain united and work together to protect BTS from such threats:
- can anyone hide them from existence!! they are really toxic people
- It’s crazy how they get away with this Some insider is leaking all this
- This report account is synchronized with the DC gallery and leads anti-fan activity. So scary that they even use this way
- wtf..they are the most disgusting people that I have ever seen. The only things they do are harras others, cheat & lie. They're so crazy while doing the worst things, so they only deserve to live the worst in their life too and I know they will live it while burning in hell
- For years, accounts pretending to be “report” accounts have been spreading lies and anti-propaganda about Jungkook, and they are still. Allowing this to continue only makes them bolder. Jungkook deserves genuine protection. Please take action. !!!
- The so-called “report account” is encouraging people to upvote posts insulting and ¢υяѕιиg the members. No matter how messy things are, isn’t this truly insane? What kind of “report account” is this? It’s the worst of anti-fans! If O27 doesn’t mαѕѕ-report accounts like this, can they really be considered BTS fans?
- please take this seriously report the mentioned account they're encouraging everyone to spread false rumours and calling jk with names
- They post insults and create top malicious comments. Please investigate this behavior and take strict action to protect Jungkook
- Be careful, everyone! There are people pretending to be fans just to spread hate—this is really scary and messed up
- Honestly, these fake fandom accounts are terrifying. They target idols and even leak private info. Stay vigilant
- Warning to all ARMYs: don’t trust every account claiming to report. Some are just pretending to be fans to cause chaos
