ARMYs Protect Jimin After He Faces Harsh Criticism For This Action In The Latest Weverse Live

On October 1, Jimin attended Jin’s encore concert as a special guest in the au∂ιєnce, showing his support for the final show of the eldest BTS member’s solo tour. Not only that, after being “υиєχρє¢тє∂ly” pulled on stage by Jin and V for an unplanned live performance, he still enthusiastically hyped up the concert with the duo by performing legendary BTS songs such as “IDOL,” “Spring Day,” and “So What.”

After the concert ended, Jimin returned home and warmed fans’ hearts with a live broadcast on Weverse Live. At the beginning of the livestream, Jimin shared that BTS’s recording process for their new album had been completed. From this, ARMYs guessed that this was why the members seemed more relaxed these days and were spending more time chatting with fans.

Throughout the livestream, Jimin and ARMYs shared many fun stories and joyful moments together. Naturally, everyone loved this direct interaction with him. However, it seems that not everyone was happy—some people have been trying to find fault with Jimin and turn it into a drama, even days after the event.

Over the past two days, several posts criticizing Jimin have gone viral on social media, all targeting him for ordering McDonald’s fast food and eating it in front of millions of fans watching online. Eating fast food might seem normal, but critics argued that McDonald’s is among the brands included in the BDS boycott list amid the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

Based solely on this, Jimin has faced a wave of harsh insults and verbal abuse from a group of toxic individuals. Some expressed “concern” over whether Jimin and BTS “truly care about such major global issues,” while others even said that “Jimin needs to be educated.” They wrote about the idol in a condescending tone like:

- Naurrrr I will make sure to educate jimin, how can my fave support genocide? Eating macdonalds? Wheres the awareness? He could ude his platform to help but he prefers being a zionist ig. Tsk tsk

- Dear #JIMIN @BTS_twt. Pls don't consume or promote McDonald's or other brands that are financing the genocide in Palestine. We need you to stand with humanity. Pls pay heed to @BDSmovement @LandPalestine and do better

- Got so happy clicking on jimins live notification seeing that he was STILL alive after an hour and then i read the comments and find out he’s eating a mcdonald’s. i still don’t get why they don’t care about palestine, guess i need to stop being that happy abt seeing them

- We are very much disappointed in you, pls don't consume or promote McDonalds. Teach yourselves please

- I don't get how you're online, and yet see nothing about Palestine, about the boycotting like? on every social media platform you will find at least one video on them but here goes jimin not knowing why he shouldn't be indulging in McDonald's in 2025

- as head of army im so disappointed! please educate yourself jimin, do better

This group of critics successfully pushed ARMYs to the limit, prompting fans to rise up immediately in defense of their idol. They pointed out that McDonald’s is not actually listed in the official BDS boycott list. The brand operates under a franchise system—meaning McDonald’s locations in different countries are independently managed by local operators and have nothing to do with one another.

McDonald’s Israel may have supported the Israeli army or donated to war efforts in Israel and thus been targeted by the BDS movement, but McDonald’s in the U.S., South кσяєα, or any other country has no involvement or responsibility for those actions.

Therefore, boycotting McDonald’s in South кσяєα—or accusing Jimin of supporting a brand that backs the war in Gaza—is an argument that was flαωєd from the very beginning. It’s clearly a case of malicious slander intended to damage the idol’s reputation. And this isn’t the first time BTS members have faced such situations caused by people twisting facts or exploiting public confusion to spark hate.

ARMYs have responded with sharp reasoning and have also urged others to stay rational when encountering such misleading content circulating online:

- Everyone eats McDonald's leave him the fυ¢к alone you hypocrite always looking for soмєтнing just to hurt on him your will get it back

- fun fact: wveryone eats MC, everyone goes there even the ones who swear the loudest in the comments

- Imagine attacking someone for eating food on livestream. Some people are just desperate to create drama around BTS.

- Jimin did nothing wrong. He was just sharing a sweet, casual moment with fans — that’s what makes him so real and lovable.

- I myself am against the genocide in Gaza, but that doesn't mean I boycott brands, so I'm not going to criticize Jimin for that. Besides, I live next to a McDonald's and I can tell you that it's doing very well.

- no reaction even tho jimin ate mcdonald’s, they made memes and were having a laugh. faveism is such a mαѕѕive trait of this fandom. they won’t even lift a finger to educate jimin about the genocide

- It’s deeply unfortunate that Jimin has had to bear the brunt of misinformation, speculation and insults through no fault of his own

- People really need to stop dragging Jimin for nothing. Eating McDonald’s in кσяєα has zero connection to politics. Please do your research before spreading hate.

- McDonald’s кσяєα isn’t McDonald’s Israel. They’re separate franchises. Stop blaming Jimin for soмєтнing completely unrelated to him.

- ARMYs know the truth. Jimin has always shown kindness, respect, and awareness. Twisting a simple action into hate is just cruel.
