On this day, ARMYs are facing a large-scale att@ck from toxic individuals targeting BTS, believed to be attempts to undermine the group’s reputation ahead of their comeback. While the whole world is looking forward to the grand return of the “21st-century pop icon” in 2026 after a three-year hiatus due to military service, these individuals are trying to lessen the public’s affection by spreading fabricated rumors and launching mαѕѕive slander campaigns against the members.
In particular, Jungkook — who has recently been dragged into groundless dating rumors with aespa’s Winter — has become the primary target of the criticism. This is not soмєтнing ARMYs haven’t anticipated, as they are well aware that haters tend to become more active whenever BTS are about to make a comeback. However, what worries fans is the fact that the scale of the issue keeps escalating.
At first, the defamatory rumors about Jungkook were merely baseless claims made by self-proclaimed fans who claimed to “leave the fandom” because they couldn’t accept their idol “dating” (the dating rumor has not been confirmed). After that, the situation developed into several major cases of misinformation being widely circulated and even fabricated based on “real events”. Yes, you read that right! They intentionally distorted an obvious fact solely to smear BTS’s reputation.
Most recently, ARMYs had to raise alarms about another major case of misinformation being spread by certain Chinese netizens regarding a photo of j-hope and Jungkook allegedly seen at a ρσℓι¢є station. In fact, the photo was taken around 2020 when j-hope and Jungkook visited the Gangnam-gu district office to get their pαѕѕports.

Nevertheless, despite this fact, toxic individuals have accused j-hope of accompanying Jungkook to a ρσℓι¢є station in 2019 due to a so-called “ρσℓι¢є summons” following an α¢¢ι∂єит caused by the Golden Maknae. They also added serious legal allegations in order to draw attention from people who are not aware of the original incident.
What’s alarming is that the spread has not only remained on Chinese platforms such as Xiaohongshu and Weibo, but has already started reaching global social media like Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok. These Chinese haters have created multiple X accounts to fuel this large-scale slander campaign. Many international users have also been recorded participating in spreading misinformation targeting j-hope and Jungkook in the past few hours.

A major fanbase accurately αѕѕesses this situation as: “They have attacked everything and everyone: his personality, health, morals, his family and dog. They are trying to portray him as someone who doesn’t keep his word, has no loyalty, and is capable of harming a woman. If this isn’t targeted harαѕѕment, then what is? Notice that all these posts are coming from new accounts with zero content. So where are the tens of millions of views coming from?
It’s obvious, this is a paid campaign, prepared carefully and long in advance.”
Therefore, ARMYs warn other fans not to engage in any form if they come across such posts. Instead, they should report the posts and the accounts according to each platform’s policy. ARMYs also encourage fans to trend hashtags and post supportive messages for Jungkook and BTS these days to counter the negativity.
On the other hand, ARMYs note that this wide-ranging att@ck on BTS and Jungkook’s reputation may continue for a long time, so the fandom must remain prepared to defend their idols until the end.
Fans are currently discussing this issue intensely on online communities:
- This is not a reason to panic, it’s a reason to be prepared for new att*cks. It’s time to stay focused and push back. Do not trust anything posted by accounts created 2–3 months ago with 10–1000 followers. All of this is a targeted harαѕѕment campaign. Jungkook is facing extreme pressure. This is no longer hate, it’s a coordinated effort to damage the reputation of an artist.
- What a joke, those are the old pictures from 2020, when they went to get their pαѕѕports done...Why they can spread these false rumors regardless of the fact?
- Everyone and their mamas want to break the team (BTS), but we are strong and so are they. Just try to focus on BTS and love them please
- It's worse because their comeback is coming in a few months Hybe and army is used to this, all we have to do is make the entire fandom be aware of this and don't overreacting. Focus only on bts and do mαѕѕ reporting to HYBE's email
- BTS are genuine, kind, talented people and that pisses people off because they are bitter and jealous. Even before bts got huge they were treated this way because people knew their potential.
- And I found a lots of new accounts in Red Note (xiaohongsu) spreading rumours about Jungkook and twisting Namjoon’s message from Wewerse, trying to make chaos and splitting ARMYS. This time we should be brave and keep calm to protect our boys
- Draining and pissed and tired as f*ck,,but they will not stop us to support Jk and all the boys,or to divide us before the cb. ¢нιиα must have a lot psychos
- These people are crazy. These are old pictures. Stop this nonsense. Karma will get these people soon enough.
- There’s absolutely no doubt anymore — a coordinated campaign. They’re trying to overshadow their return, but ARMY will never let that happen. Let’s protect the boys no matter what
- It’s so clear this isn’t random hate. It’s organized, planned, and timed to harm Jungkook and weaken BTS right before they come back. We can’t allow these people to succeed. Stay alert and defend our members together
- Anyone can see this is a systematic attack designed to drag Jungkook down and disrupt BTS’s comeback momentum. Keep reporting, keep supporting, and protect our boys at all costs.
