ARMYs Protect BTS Against Negative Criticism Over “Spring Day“ Live Performance At Jin’s Encore Concert

Jin successfully concluded the two encore nights of “#RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR” at Incheon Munhak Stadium in Michuhol-gu, Incheon, on October 31 and November 1. The concert also marked the perfect finale to Jin’s journey of “running to meet fans,” which began in June this year.

In particular, during the two nights of the encore concert, the BTS members also appeared and supported Jin in heating up the atmosphere. On the first day, j-hope and Jungkook joined Jin on stage to perform “Super Tuna.” The two later delivered their iconic solo songs, with j-hope performing “Killin’ It Girl” and Jungkook singing “Standing Next to You.”

On the second day, V went on stage to perform his solo track “Love Me Again,” getting emotional as he shared, “I really wanted to see this view. Just imagining the seven of us standing together already brings me to tears.”

Jimin, who υиєχρє¢тє∂ly attended as a “special au∂ιєnce member” on the second day, was also pulled on stage, forming a trio that replaced the “3J” lineup from the first night.

Jin and the 95z duo performed a medley of “IDOL,” “So What,” and “My Universe,” followed by a short cover of BTS’s most beloved кσяєαn нιт — “Spring Day.” As the sweet melody of the ballad began, fans felt as if the long-awaited spring of 2026 had truly arrived. The hearts of both live and online au∂ιєnces were deeply moved as they heard BTS’s vocal line perform this comforting song live for the first time in years.

However, while fans expressed immense love for this spontaneous stage, online reactions were somewhat harsh toward the circulated clips. Netizens pointed out that the lack of preparation and the backing track exposed the trio’s raw vocals more than expected. Many claimed that the performance did not meet the standard needed to fully deliver the song’s emotional depth.

Others even said that the three members had “the worst vocals” and that their singing “hurt their ears.” Some expressed disappointment after having high expectations for BTS’s return, saying this performance made it seem like the group had yet to regain their form. Numerous tweets mocking their live vocals and questioning the group’s current singing abilities appeared online.

In response to the wave of negative criticism, ARMYs stood up to defend their idols. Fans pointed out that the performance was clearly impromptu and was meant as a heartfelt moment for the au∂ιєnce, not an official stage. The members themselves had made it clear that this was an unpracticed cover.

In fact, Jimin didn’t even bring his mic or in-ear monitor, since he originally only planned to watch the show, not perform. However, due to the warm love from fans and the encouragement from Jin and V, he joined the stage spontaneously.

ARMYs also noted that the trio had just performed high-energy, physically demanding songs like “IDOL” and “So What” right before, so it was understandable that their breathing was unstable during the ballad “Spring Day.” It’s unreasonable to expect idols to maintain perfect vocals as if performing the first song after several intense stages without rest. Despite that, the trio still showcased their sweet and warm voices, far from what the critics exaggerated.

Meanwhile, fans encouraged others to appreciate the performance from the heart rather than harshly judge it as if it were a fully prepared or official stage:

- imagine not rehearsing the only song you have to perform after being away from the stage for 2 years..

- I even can't believe I'm seeing Jimin (w/ V and Jin) on stage. Few hours before the concert, they were just having a convo during jk's live. I love surprises. It's really nice when there's no expectations at all.

- this whole thing showed jimin's professionalism, kind humble heart, and raw talent. he was put on the spot yet he delivered so well!

- This felt so spontaneous yet magical! Their voices together нιт right in the feels. Mind you that this performance was not prepared before

- Since 2018 spring day is my everything and I cried today oh my goodness

- when you are jin jimin v of bts, you literally dgaf when and where someone asks you to sing ....i have seen some idols sing like ∂єα∂ bo∂ιєs in their own concerts for which they rehearse for months

- It was cute stupid, they’ve been working on the new album which takes a lot of hard work and repetitive takes. It was also improvised but knowing them, they were probably joking around and having fun.

- They sang perfectly fine and this was so random not practiced and Pann ho using them as bait for like and clicks from stinky kpoppies who stannn khias who can’t hold a note for life

- It was a spontaneous moment, not a rehearsed stage. They sang with heart, and that’s what matters

- Jimin didn’t even plan to perform, yet he still went up there for ARMYs. They didn’t sing this song for the haters, okay? We ARMYs received it with love and even though it wasn’t prepared in advance, it was still beautiful. It doesn’t deserve such harsh criticism.

- After performing powerful songs like idol, of course their breathing wasn’t perfect. They’re human, not machines

- Their vocals were raw and emotional, not bad at all. It’s called singing live with sincerity

- People criticizing this don’t understand that performance was a gift, not an official stage
