ARMYs Defend SUGA After Flood Of Comments Criticizing His Absence From Valentino Fashion Week Appear On Instagram

Since January 2023, all seven members of BTS have been appointed as global ambαѕѕadors for some of the world’s most prestigious luxury fashion houses. Beyond exclusive brand campaigns and private events, Fashion Week has become one of the busiest and most anticipated times of the year — a season where BTS members showcase their undeniable influence as global fashion icons.

Fans are always eager to witness their stunning visuals and sophisticated styles on the world’s biggest fashion stages. This year’s Fall/Winter 2025 Fashion Week once again highlights BTS’s powerful presence across different cities and brands.

Jungkook kicked things off with Calvin Klein in New York on September 12, followed by Jin who attended Gucci’s show in Milan on September 23. RM appeared at Bottega Veneta on September 27, while Jimin graced Dior’s Paris show on October 1. Meanwhile, V is expected to steal the spotlight at CELINE’s presentation in fяαи¢є on October 5.

Additionally, j-hope made a striking appearance earlier this year at Louis Vuitton’s Menswear Fall/Winter 2025 show during Paris Fashion Week in June. As of now, six out of seven members of the global K-pop group have attended Fashion Week this season — with SUGA being the only one who hasn’t participated yet.

About a month ago, multiple online rumors circulated claiming that SUGA would attend Valentino’s show on October 5 in fяαи¢є, coinciding with V’s schedule. However, as the event draws near, there have been no photos or signs of SUGA departing from кσяєα, nor any official indication that he would attend.

The surprising thing is that it became an excuse, leading to overreactions from a small group of toxic individuals. Despite calling themselves BTS or SUGA fans, these users flooded the NBA’s official Instagram account — where SUGA currently collaborates as an ambαѕѕador — as well as several posts from brands that previously worked with him.

They left harsh, offensive comments, expressing disappointment and frustration over his supposed “absence.” Examples of such comments include:

- You really don’t care about your fans, and that’s very clear, your fans are only useful when you need them, just look at the difference between you and the other members, they have a genuine feeling, I know you’ll only show up again when you need support again, disappointment defines

- Read all these comments, many ARMYs are waiting for u, loving u, but where are you? You’ve disappointed your fans. I’m sad. Please tell your brother Suga @bts.bigнιтofficial @rkive @mnjungkook @thv @jin @uarmyhope

- Look at this, many army are waiting and disappointed

- You have disappointed us, how long will you remain hidden?

- Suga please show yourself. Where are you?

This behavior has understandably angered genuine fans, as the backlash appears completely unreasonable. SUGA never confirmed his attendance, nor was there any official statement from Valentino or any reliable media outlet suggesting he would appear at the October 5 show. It was purely a rumor — yet some fans treated it as fact and reacted as though he had “backed out” at the last minute.

Meanwhile, others pointed out that SUGA serves as the face of Valentino’s masculine campaign “The Narratives,” which focuses on menswear. In contrast, Valentino’s October 5 runway is part of the Paris Fashion Week Women’s Collection, dedicated primarily to women’s designs. Therefore, it’s perfectly understandable — and not at all surprising — that SUGA was not in attendance.

In response, many ARMYs have called on fellow fans to stop attacking him unfairly and instead counter the negativity with positive comments on social media. One fan wrote:

- There was never any confirmation he’d attend. Don’t blame him for your own stupidity

- see this comment its really нєαятвяєαкιиg this is not called true fandom and true Armys ...i can't believe this

- we can't know what his situation is, we don't know why he's not active. He loves making and releasing music so I think he would do it if he could/wanted.

- Fans literally believed in what they made up, and being angry on him for this...I don't get it....no official sources ever confirmed he will be there. There are so many rude tweets on that case too. We should trust his decisions, he will show up when he wants to, no pressure

- On other platform fashion week attendance was also spread as a fact. I hope people learn not to spread rumors about members attendance anywhere for нιт tweets.

- TBH! I did have my hopes up to finally see Yoongi not because of the rumors but after seeing other members attended their brand events but I’m not disappointed. I can never be disappointed at Yoongi. He probably had his reasons. We’ll just wait little bit longer.

- Trust him, support him, please love him forever.

- This fandom believed its own rumors, which were never confirmed, and before I wanted him to appear because I miss him, now I don't, let him take all the time he wants, and if this fandom wants to "demand" soмєтнing, let them give him the 1B plaque first.

- Can all these people just leaaavvveeee so boongles can come back to unproblematic fans whenever "he" wants

- Yoongi never said he was going anywhere. They'll just αѕѕume things and then get mad when it doesn’t happen. What’s actually wrong with these people?

- How I wish NBA could off the comment section under that post. Sickening antis and immature IG army.

- They make up rumours themselves and then cry when it doesn't come true. Immature behaviour to blame him for ur unwanted αѕѕumptions

- I hope these ppl get fed up and leave the fandom....so that genuine Armys can see him again....whenever he is ready......
