In May this year, BTS brought back the 2.0 version of Run BTS! — the group’s exclusive variety show that has been one of fans’ favorites for more than a decade. According to кσяєαn media, the first episode following Run BTS!’s return surpαѕѕed 10 million views on YouTube just 10 days after its release, while the following video also exceeded 5 million views within three days of its premiere.

Although Run BTS 2.0 made its long-awaited return after years of hiatus and received an enthusiastic response from fans, the show has also been put on hold for the past few months due to BTS’s packed schedule of events and their world tour. Now, however, there seems to be a sign that a new episode has already been prepared and could be released soon.

This speculation began after BigHit uploaded a series of photos on Instagram on the 26th of this month without a specific caption.

After BigHit shared the photos, ARMY quickly noticed a striking coincidence between them and candid photos of BTS taken by pαѕѕersby in Toronto on August 20. BTS were in ¢αиα∂α at the time to prepare for the two-night ARIRANG Tour concert at Rogers Stadium on August 22 and 23.

Some fans had spotted j-hope, V, and Jungkook together, from shopping and riding an escalator in a mall to having a meal at נαραиese restaurant Shinta. Notably, the wнιтe T-shirts seen clearly in those candid photos — especially V’s shirt with the number 6 and j-hope’s shirt with red lettering — were an exact match for the outfits worn by all three members in the photos BigHit had just posted.

Around the same time, Jimin and Jin were also spotted having a meal at кσяєαn restaurant Gyodong in Toronto. RM later appeared at the same place on his own. Although they were not together, ARMY once again noticed that the outfits worn by the members in these candid photos matched what BTS were wearing in the photos shared by BigHit.

If the matching outfits alone are not enough to conclude that the new photos are behind-the-scenes shots from a RUN BTS! episode, fans have a series of other clues to support the theory.

Based on the photos fans compared and analyzed, the location featured in BigHit’s posts appears to be Centennial Park in Etobicoke, west Toronto. Rather than more famous and tourist-heavy spots such as High Park or Toronto Island, BTS seemingly chose a relatively quiet and secluded park. What could be the reason? It is certainly possible that this discreet location was chosen to film some time-consuming content — such as Run, for instance.

More notably, in some of the photos taken by fans, the members appear to be wearing lavalier microphones, while handheld cameras can also be seen around them. The setup would naturally remind fans of the familiar filming process for RUN BTS!.

And there is more. BTS’s official Instagram account previously posted a photo of a fan banner that read “Run BTS! Toronto 2.0” after the group’s concert late this month. Among hundreds of banners, some meaningful and others humorous, the fact that the team chose this particular one hardly seems random. To many fans, it looks like an early, subtle spoiler.

Taken together, all these details point to one theory: BTS may have taken advantage of their time in Toronto to film a new RUN BTS! 2.0 episode at Centennial Park, and the content could be released soon, possibly as early as next week. That possibility alone has fans eagerly waiting while also fueling further speculation about what the new episode could be about:
