A K-Celebrity Shares His Panic Upon Accidentally Spotting This On Jin's Phone

Among the older celebrities known to be friends with Jin, comedian Park Myung Soo has always been one of the most familiar names to ARMY. While promoting his single "The Astronaut," the BTS member appeared on Park's YouTube show "Halmyungsoo," where the two created an incredibly funny and entertaining atmosphere. Despite their 17-year age gap, Jin and Park Myung Soo displayed a natural and witty friendship with virtually no generational barrier between them.

During Jin's military service, Park Myung Soo also frequently spoke proudly about him and BTS whenever he chatted with other idol guests. Various behind-the-scenes stories about their friendship have been shared over the years, demonstrating how close they are. Because of that relationship, the comedian once had the chance to see what was on Jin's phone screen. However, ever since that moment, he admitted that he has been almost too intimidated to text Jin anymore!

Specifically, in one episode of "Halmyungsoo," Park Myung Soo and Hwang Kwanghee were preparing traditional pancakes for the Chuseok holiday. During their conversation, the production staff pointed out that both of them are huge fans of G-Dragon. Kwanghee jokingly complained that it must be incredibly difficult to stay in touch with the star because he probably receives an overwhelming number of messages every day.

Park Myung Soo then surprised everyone by sharing a similar experience involving Jin. He said, "After seeing Jin's phone, I stopped texting him. He receives about a thousand messages every day." The revelation left Hwang Kwanghee stunned. He repeatedly asked in disbelief, "What? He gets that many messages? Every single day? No way!"

However, Park Myung Soo insisted that it was true. What ѕнσ¢кed him wasn't just the enormous number of messages, but also the list of people Jin was communicating with. He revealed that Jin regularly talks to and exchanges messages with world-renowned artists such as Ed Sheeran and Coldplay. The program even added a humorous caption describing it as "The unrivaled network of a world-clαѕѕ star."

Feeling sympathetic toward Park’s frustration, Kwanghee tried to console him with some lighthearted words: "Hyung, you have a lot of friends" to which Park responded with: "No, he is not my friend. He is (caption: my younger brother) Jinnie Jinnie Jinnie~", trying to salvage a bit of their playful friendship.

As soon as the episode aired, Jin’s “the unrivaled network ” left fans astonished, reinforcing his status as a true global superstar. Many also began speculating that he might be planning a new project with some of his famous musician friends.

On the other hand, Park Myung Soo’s reaction also reminded fans of a past incident involving him and BTS, back when the group had just debuted and were far from the megastars they are today. About eight years ago, the members happened to run into Park Myung Soo near a restroom at Gimpo International Airport. Although Jin and BTS greeted him politely, Park ignored them and even told them to “just go” instead of agreeing to take a photo together.

Fans now jokingly see Park’s reluctance to text Jin as a form of “karma” for his ignorance in the past. Park himself later admitted that he regretted not treating BTS better back when they weren’t yet famous. Fans quickly shared their reactions on social media as the video rapidly went viral:

- Imagine Jin as Harry Potter and Ed Sheeran as Ron

- Is he allowed to share such information? Star-nim? this is a breach of privacy.

- He's always mentioning Jin. Soмєтнing about him gives me clout chaser vibes. His other friends and acquaintances dont feel the need to share so much info

- Coldplay hyung can be understood but Ed Sheeran? Whatever it is I am readdyyyy

- jin texting with ed sheeran and chris?? he's always everyone favorite

- This man better not be fibbing coz I saved all my college money to see Ed Sheeran, my first concert ever and now, Jin and Ed what??

- Jin exchange texts with Ed Sheeran? For music, I know soмєтнing is coming

- This reminds me of how he once embarrαѕѕed BTS by ignoring them. Karma often comes quickly

- It’s no surprise that Jin gets attention from dozens of other celebrities. BTS are now at a level everyone admires — they’re true global superstars

- It’s only natural that he feels hesitant to text Jin, considering what he once did to them. But that would be the same for anyone — BTS are truly amazing, they make those who once looked down on them pay a heavy price
