BTS has arrived in Chile for three highly anticipated shows at the country’s largest stadium, Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos in Santiago, marking their return after more than nine years. The concerts have been filled with an electric atmosphere, explosive performances, and the resounding voices of more than 60,000 fans singing along.
Local fans also organized a surprise belated birthday celebration for Jimin, moving the idol to tears. The enthusiasm and heartfelt support of Chilean ARMYs left a wonderful impression on BTS from the very first show.

However, an incident that took place during the soundcheck on October 14, 2026, later became a major talking point within the fan community, significantly affecting the atmosphere surrounding the tour.
The incident involved Jeaneth Pacheco, a Peruvian woman from Arequipa who attended the concert with her daughter in the VIP section. According to her account during a TikTok livestream, she had an unpleasant encounter with a group of two or three Chilean female fans who allegedly pushed her toward the right.
Rather than reacting aggressively, Pacheco said she simply and politely asked the group to be more careful to avoid bumping into one another. However, her reasonable request was reportedly met with hostility. The fans allegedly responded that “that’s just how concerts are,” even though the venue was not yet packed and they were standing right at the front row.
Tensions escalated just minutes later when the group of young fans allegedly called over stadium security. A female security guard approached Pacheco and warned her that livestreaming was strictly prohibited, while also reminding her of the organizer’s rules.
Pacheco admitted that she was not fully aware of the rules at the time and voluntarily turned off her livestream to avoid further trouble. What upset her, however, was that many Chilean fans standing nearby were also livestreaming but seemingly received no similar warning. Feeling that she had been treated unfairly, the Peruvian mother broke down in tears while recounting her experience.
The story quickly spread across social media, particularly X, triggering a wave of reactions from the Peruvian ARMY community. Many condemned the alleged behavior as disrespectful, discriminatory, and xenophobic.
The controversy grew further when some Peruvian fans brought up previous online tensions between fans from the two countries during BTS’s time in Lima. For the Peruvian fan community, Pacheco’s experience was seen as evidence that the organizers’ rules had been enforced “selectively,” seemingly targeting foreign fans.
Meanwhile, other ARMYs from different countries also expressed their frustration over the alleged disrespectful behavior of some Chilean fans.
A кσяєαn fan voiced their disappointment, saying: “Seriously, what is going on with a section of Chilean fans? Since the start of the South American tour, the mistreatment of Peruvian ARMYs has been way over the line. BTS firmly opposes any form of nationality-based discrimination. As ARMYs united by our love for BTS, I truly hope we stop discriminating against and hurting one another over nationality.”
Other fans expressed similar sentiments: "How outrageous everything that happened is, poor thing", "As a Chilean, I apologize to that lady. This whole thing is honestly so embarrαѕѕing", "What a lack of respect. I'm truly ashamed of them, and I hope there won't be any more issues like this for the rest of the shows", "She's just a mom who wanted to enjoy the concert with her daughter, and a couple of total dipsh1ts ruined her experience", "The saddest thing is that his daughter. I can't imagine the anxiety she must have felt seeing her mommy in that situation", "We're all ARMYs who love BTS. Stop discriminating against and hurting each other just because of where we're from", "This is PURE RACISM AND DISCRIMINATION, we're not going to stay silent", "Can we please stop targeting Peruvian ARMYs?",...
